Lenovo Android Tablets Stream Netflix Videos
Lenovo First with Netflix-Certified Android Tablets.
Lenovo has introduced a new family of fancy tablets with two models running Android 3.0, Honeycomb.
Besides the IdeaPad K1 with Adobe Flash Player 10.3 as well as console-quality gaming capabilities, Lenovo plans to sell an enterprise ThinkPad tablet.
Lenovo’s IdeaPad K1 is the first android certified tablet to stream Netflix videos. Lenovo’s ThinkPad tablet will also offer enhanced encryption and anti-theft software.
The K1 integrates HDMI connection and digital rights management enabling Netflix members to stream movies and TV shows to a big-screen TV. Lenovo’s new ThinkPad tablet will also have this capability when it becomes available next month.
The 10.1-inch screened, half-inch thick K1, which is already available, looks capable enough for those who want muscles, dual-core Tegra 2, Honeycomb 3.1, 1280×800 resolution, 2 MP front and 5 MP back cameras and an SD Card slot.
The ThinkPad otherwise is essentially the K1 in business model featuring Tegra 2, same Android Honeycomb 3.1 and with extra enterprise security features like IT manager functionality and 3G data. The ThinkPad also plugs into an optional port dock and keyboard for enhanced usage.
